Founded in 1987, VaporKote specializes in boronizing (boriding) and aluminizing  processes. These diffusion coating processes are not just done as a sideline (as many companies and heat treaters do). At VaporKote we formulate our own boronizing (boriding) and aluminizing  gas diffusion coatings to meet exact customer requirements and to ensure the highest quality standards. Boronizing and aluminizing gas diffusion coatings are high temperature processes creating vapors from metal powders (hence the name, VaporKote). Unlike other processes such as powder coatings or plasma spray coatings, VaporKote’s gas diffusion coatings form new and unique metallurgical alloys to protect the base metal.

Custom-made components can be manufactured to meet stringent customer requirements. Repair and Turnkey services are available for customer parts such as boronized (borided) oil refinery FCC and coker pump housings up to 68” diameter.
